Finally a scope

Hey All,

A big thanks to everyone who has given me advice over the last couple of months.

I am finally the owner of a Saxon 10 inch Dob which I picked up today and constructed tonight. On queue the weather has turned pear shape. Completely overcast and blowing its guts out.

I thought I might take the scope out for a dinner and a movie..is that weird? On the serious side, awesome bit of equipment, really impressed at the build quality. Can't wait to try it out.

Rob

Hi Rob,

Can you tell where and how much did you buy the 10 inch Dob?

Thanks Brian.

Hi Alan. I bought the scope from Telescopes and Astronomy. Check out their website for prices. I found Matt was really good to deal with and a wealth of knowledge to my endless questions.

Congrats Rob on your new scope.
I have recently bought some Collimation tools and a MPCC MkIII from T&A and have found them to be great.
I was very new to the whole Collimation thing and they answered my questions and gave some great tips.
They sell an Auto Collimator which i find to work very well.
Happy viewing and clear skies.
