How about observing GC 6749 in Aquila and giving us your Opinion.
I will try and observe it myself tonight ,weather permitting
Given mag according to "The Sky" program is 12.4

Thanks Glen, I think I may have forgotten to observe it at Barambah. but will attempt it tonight.

I saw N6749 tonight, extremely faint, it's hazy and smoky here too.
I saw the small cross shape (at left next to the GC) in the ESO image below and the GC when I moved the 16" scope gently.
This image shows a bit more than what I saw.

Attached are two pics from last night.
I use a 16" GSO Dob with 21, 13 and 9 mm EPs (86,138,200 times) and a UHC filter.
The yellow torch has a red LED and the book is Southern Gems.
Thanks Judith for the mouse-pad. My computer star atlas is SkyMapPro.
It was so much easier when I did not need glasses and a magnifying glass to read things.

I have seen 104 objects from the book Southern Gems with my 16" Dob recently, 16 Southern Gems to go. (NGC2997 to NGC4696)
