Imaged Saturn last night, had not captured the long lived dark oval since July 22nd but caught it last night. I have been told that even in the Cassini data the dark oval is getting smaller and fainter so I was very pleased to resolve it to add another data point to my spreadsheet & drift chart. It is midway between the CM & Following limb in my R channel data and can also be seen (just) in my RGB. Have also attached an R channel animation.
Next morning I was up early to capture Jupiter and have attached an animation of my 742nm IR data.
Allan, must say how pleased I have been with the performance of the ASI120MM, particularly with my very early attempts at Jupiter in very poor seeing, certainly looks to have potential.
