Tried a few using the Davo style giant image scale but I crashed & burnt. The seeing just wasn't there for that. Good fun trying though! Damn hard work keeping it central on screen with an EQ5 not polar aligned well enough with PE coming into it too.
Well thats the initial stack of all the half decent AVI's. Now it's time to restack & proccess the guts out of them to see if I can squeeze a bit more out of 'em.
left one is best, but yes the seeing has to be up there so high to make the big image scale work! THats why i am still so impressed with Lesters extension image in less than ideal seeing. bloody awesome!
Lester has the extra focal length there already. his standard image scale with 2X barlow is equal to my image scale with 2X barlow & 2 extension tubes.
Without a doubt Dennis. Its interesting to see the change in the seeing conditions over a period of time. That first one was taken not long before the other two. The other two look different because at that point I added the diagonal to the train.
