Reprocessed Selfie from Cape Leveque

This is a before/after, but not to show raw/processed, but how my knowledge and technique have changed over the past year.

The top (and 2nd) image was captured at Cape Leveque during my Kimberley adventure, and was processed soon after getting back (just over a year ago). Looking at it now, it was way too red and too dark.

I reprocessed it from scratch using my 'current' techniques and style, to get the bottom (and 3rd) image. Which I much prefer

I also processed a similar selfie for the first time (4th image). I climbed further up the rock for a different view

While sitting there, trying to stay completely still for 30 seconds, I was watching the crescent Moon set over the Indian Ocean in the West. It was a beautiful sight - and the crescent Moon helped provide some nice soft lighting to the foreground.

Canon 5D Mk2, Samyang 14mm @ f/2.8, ISO3200, 30s exposure for both shots.

What an improvement Mike! Similarly when I view my photostream in flickr I can see a big change in my processing and framing from just a few years ago to today.

Thanks for sharing!

Yes a substantial improvement. It is interesting how our processing style evolves.
I've noticed it my own processing of images.

Greg.
