Autoguiding with Meade DSI

Hi This may interest some people using the celestron AS goto mount.
the mount can be autoguided using the meade DSI and Autostar suite software using Rob Beck's Star-Mate LX 200 emulator.
http://www.star-mate.com/starmate.htm

I bought a pre- production unit of Rob and tried it out on the Celestron mount.plain and simple it works.
No other software is required and the only work you have to do is supply a serial cable to you PC.

I will be trying the LX control unit on a Skysenser driven mount shortly, I believe it should work . reports on this to follow.

cheers
david.

Funny I did not see the autoguide function in the Autostar suite for the DSI, only for the LPI. How do you guide with the DSI under that software?

Hi Paul, next to the Stats tab, where the histogram is, there is a Telescope tab just click there and then set Com1 as your connection.
