24 Hour of Le Mans - Allan Simonson Killed

If anyone watched the race it was a very eventful 24 hours. It started raining and stopped then started again, leaders retiring, etc. A very entertaining race however there was a serious accident.

A tragic accident occurred on the 3rd lap of the 24 Hour of Le Mans last night just after 3pm local time race start (just after 11pm AEST).

Allan Simonson driving for Aston Martin Racing lost control of his car and crashed into the barrier coming out of the corner which led to the back straight. Read more here:

He didn't die instantly, he passed away later at a medical centre. Also I believe his family wished the race to continue.
Huge tragedy
