NGC 3132 Southern Ring or Eight Burst Nebula in Vela

Hi All,
A small but bright planetary nebula in the southern skies. Just on the limit of doable with my equipment.

About 20x20min each Ha, OII and SII in Hubble palette
Image scale 0.47 arsec/pixel
Captured with MaximDL
Processed with PS CS4

Equipment:
Scope: Celestron EdgeHD 14"
Mount: ASA DDM60
Camera: FLI Microline 11002, Astrodon filters
Guiding: MMOAG with Loadstar camera
Focuser: FLI Atlas

Software:
TheSkyX, ACP Planner, ACP, ACP Scheduler, FMax, MaximDL, Photoshop CS4

Wow! Very cool, Dale! The detail you've been able to capture is really something. The outer lobe structure is well defined and not often seen in amateur images. Well done.

I noticed you use ACP Scheduler. What do you think of the tool? (I use it too)

Hi Jase,

Scheduler is great. I typically can achieve 80%+ actual imaging time throughout the night on a clear night. It just carries on on it's own.
