Hospitals!

I have been stuck in Blacktown hospital since last Friday week. Missed my trip to Wiruna.

I am now waiting for some more testing to see if there is any thing wrong with me. Might get out next week with a bit of luck. In time for the SPSP?

At least the nurses are great and so are the meals (except when you get the NBM sticker).

I am not incapacitated and can move around and actually feel quite fit although I get needles jabbed every day and blood tests with the occasional drip feed. I have had so many blood tests I soon won't have any left. My arms look like I am a drug addict.

Barry

PS I have my computer + internet and I have a secret cache of sugar and salt! Both items are often missing.

That's not good Barry.

Hope they sort you out quickly so you can get home.

It's never good to be stuck in hospital.

I hope you are ok and back on board soon Barry. Flip side is now you can serf the net all day!

Hospital food...probably some of the greyish mush I have ever had the misfortune to consume. I used to complain about Military food but in reality the military were top notch.

Maybe you can email master Chef or such like to do a "hospital segment"!

Yeserday I was on the NBM all day. When the surgery was finally abandoned at 8:00 PM all they could find was cucumber sangers (I hate pommy food). After starving for 24 hrs they were beautiful!

Hi Barry,

Hope you are out soon and back on the observing field soon.

Be sure to make good use of those Avagard hand wash dispensers in the corridors.
No fun picking up another bug and as you are aware, many of them are becoming quite
resilient.

They are everywhere. Did you have something to do with that?

Hi Barry,

Not us, but they're there for good reason.

3M are a major manufacturer of these products.

A couple of friends who are scientists at one of Sydney's major hospitals
periodically talk of the increasing risks of these bugs which can
find their way, for example, on the surfaces of the doors in a hospital
where people push them to open.

They are becoming increasingily difficult to treat even in fit young males
let alone pensioners from Beaumont Hills, so keep up the hand washing
and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards

Gary

hi Ross

Trevor won't be at the meeting either. He is up at Surfers. Apologize to Mike. Tell him the doctors are great here.

I am on the waiting list again today NBM so with a bit of luck they will get their "bios" and I can escape from here.

Thanks to all the rest of you for your good wishes.

Barry

Hi Barry,
Can you get some of your toys in there? There's some fine nights going by.

Get well soon!

I have my computer and internet.
I am next to a big window that looks to the south east. However there is a carpark lit with sodium lamps and I can't even see a single star. so a telescope would not be any use.

They said i will be OK for the SPSP so I will catch up there.

Hi all,

Barry is still recovering in hospital, he had his biopsy on Wednesday and is in the ICU as his blood pressure is low and his pulse to high. He is more getting annoyed than anything, as he has 101 wires attached, can't get out of bed and can't set up his computer as they don't give him anywhere to plug it in.

Hopefully he will be in a normal ward by Saturday, and then out altogether by mid next week.

Cheers

Trevor
