Saturn from Melbourne this morning

My first go at Saturn for this apparition, and although it appears that I missed the best seeing 24 hours earlier, the sky was still better than average for Melborune at just after 5am this morning.

The seeing was defenitely better during the IR685 filter sequence, and it was just really good to see Saturn again so high in the sky.

Promises to be a great apparition and for the next few years Saturn will be so high!

Shot with my usual set up (12.5" f/5; Skynyx 2.0 camera) and processed in AS2, AstraImage (RGB photo) and CS3.

Clear skies to all.

Certainly better John but reckon a tad more of a reduction of the G channel in AI would nail it.

What a great way to start off your Saturn season from Melbourne, certainly looks like a top morning and it is only going to get better as it rises higher, earlier.

Regards
Trevor
