I've tried the GSO 2" 2x, and it's a good barlow for the price.

Ditto on the GSO but if money is not a problem and you want the best performer go the TV. Powermates.

I've got the Televue 2" big barlow.

It is very good - impossible to tell there is extra glass in the way when viewing extended objects but I have noticed a reflection ghost image when viewing the brighter planets off centre.

Very sharp to the edge of the field of view.
