Anyone into the Harmonica

The masked man rides again (this is incredible)!
A standing ovation at Carnegie Hall playing a simple harmonica! It took the Lone Ranger theme song to bring them to their feet.

Turn up the volume! Enjoy!

The Carnegie Hall guy was double amazing, - a pleasure and a privilege to listen to. And Norman can actually play well too, - I didn't realise that. I thought it was just gonna be a comedy sketch, but he is/was surprisingly good. Thanks for posting guys.

In the early days of Triple J, Double J back then Garry McDonald would often feature on 'Radio with Pictures' playing with Rory O'Donohue (Thin Arthur) and Grahame Bond (Auntie Jack) really knocking out some great 'Jump Blues'.
I also seem to recall Garry Mc playing with Hound Dog Taylor and the House Rockers.
A closer for JJJ, on January 20th 1976 Norman Gunston played with Frank Zappa at the Horden Pavilion where Frank Zappa, introduced him as ‘Blind Lemon’ Gunston and urged him to to blow and blow he did.
How do I remember all of this stuff?
Greg.

Further to my above/ below ramble, Whilst having lunch yesterday I raised the Garry Mc, Frank Zappa thing with a friend who happens to be a big Zappa fan and he told me that there were an bundle of tracks recorded during the 1976 tour and a subsequent Live album ' FZ-OZ ' which was released in 2002 and features 'Blind Lemon' Gunston guesting.

It might be worthwhile tracking that album down.

Here's the Wiki entry.
Norman Gunston is credited.

You know I remember this song. One of my brothers must have had the album.
