Combining Lightning Images

Hi guys, I usually just take lightning images and hope for the best, with some good results from time to time i might add.

I have never combined images before but would like to try it just for something to do, could someone please advise what i should do, what program do this sort of thing.

I have used startrails.de before and it seems to work fine. No doubt there are probably better methods but you could give it a go as the software is free.

Just load the pics in a let the software do it's work.

If you have photoshop, you can create a stack and select the blend mode "lighten" for each layer. This will add the brighter parts of each layer into the image so all the lightning or fireworks show in the one image.
