An afternoon at Long Jetty

Here's some more shots from Sunday afternoon at Long Jetty.

These were shot in the afternoon, around 3:30ish. I've got some sunset ones i'm processing now.

The first shot was with the 75-300mm lens, all the rest were with the 18-55mm lens. All handheld, no filters, exposures of around 1/50s @ f/22 for most of them.

Processing in RawShooterEssentials and Photoshop.

2 more photos coming in the next post.

Comments welcome.

Pretty ordinary images there Mike . I mean the cloud the reflection, perspective view, the vanishing point , the dark , the light and just the chosen subject ? They do not compose the picture properly , you need to use the flash on the camera, and a filter to make the sky blue, and that pesky little boy keeps turning up in the image ruining a good shot.

haha thanks huey and Andrew.

I'm really pleased with how my shots are turning out lately.. ever since I converted to using RAW for all my photography, it's giving me so many more options in post-capture processing.

I'm also finding i'm getting better at "seeing" what might make a good scene.

Now all I need is a sharper lens and a level eye

oh and a lowepro bag.. I hate to say it Tony, but my Tamrac is too small! lol

oh and h0ughy, at least my pesky little boy is keeping his pants on!
