Cairns Eclipse - Nov 2012

Some piccies during the eclipse on top of a hill along the Mulligan Highway. It was really windy at times and I blew it with the baileys beads, but I am really happy with the pics that I got. And totaly loved the experience - amazing show from nature!

Thanks naskies, RickS and von Tom. There are a few longer exposures that I will add and have another go at the outer corona - hopefully that reduces the perifery noise too. I was hoping to get moon darkside detail, but I think the thin cirrus cloud buggered that up. First time I've used Fitswork and it is really growing on me - could have applications in landscape work too I think.
