Sunday Sun, 25 November 2012

Hi all,
It was great to get out and view / image the Sun late this afternoon when it finally cleared. I had been watching some super filaments come and go over the past week (on-line) and was itching to image some. My session was extremely short so only grabbed a few discs - this was my favourite of the session - exposure 1/182 and high gamma of 233 to bring out the stronger prominences. LS60, DMK51 and Registax5 for stacking and processing.
Hope you had a great weekend!

A very tidy full disk Matt, my mosaic from today (with a PST, plus also one from the Zeiss SM60) are nowhere as flash. Well done.

Impressive full disc Matt, lovely crisp detail, the DMK51 certainly looks like a winner.

Very nice full disk Matt. The extra gamma also helps flatten the illumination of the disk.

Sun-days very appropriate

As above nice detail, the filaments are very easy to spot and absorb
