Concept Shoot

Haven't posted in here in yonks. No landscape work to show.

Had my first concept shoot today at my home studio.

Working with an amazingly talented team of hair, make-up and model, we realised a concept that I had thought up over a month ago.

It was even better than I expected, because, the team pulled together and took what I had in my mind into a completely different direction, which I know was better than just my sole vision.

Attached is the first test shot from one of the variations (there were two variations to the theme), straight out of the camera, sent to Photoshop for resizing and posted directly here.

Slightly larger version available here.

I've just finished my final cull from the day's shoot and will get to processing the best 4-6 images from the day for our individual portfolios.

Canon EOS 5D-Mark III, Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
1/125s f/16.0 at 85.0mm iso100

There is nothing like Profoto light.

Nice,
Hope to see the full series at some point.
The colors are nice and subtle in places which blends nicely with the brighter splashes of color such as lips.
Must be nice working with a crew!
well done mate

Hi mate,

Long time no hear or see. I'll have to pop round one of these weekends. Or, you can come round here!

It was amazing working with the crew. The hair designer recently won a national award and is leaving the country to work in Europe in the hair dressing industry. What a blast it was to be able to work with a professional (or, two). We had a wonderful time and they were surprised with my direction -- I was able to get out of her exactly what I wanted.

I'll post one that I've finished.

Cheers!

H
