replacing eq6 motherboard

Hi,
Is it easy to replace the motherboard on a skywatcher EQ6 Syntrek mount. I can get to the motherboard ok but not sure how all the wires are taken off .Arethey all plugged in and you just pull the plugs with the wires out. I am not technically minded and unfortunately i can`t find any info on how this is done.
Any help or tips would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Philip

Hi Philip,
Try www.astrobaby.com.
What this woman doesn't know about Synta mounts probably isn't worth knowing!
Best of luck!

Hi Philip,

I had to change mine a few years back and it was pretty straight forward. The wires just plug onto the board, but they are pretty small plugs. As I recall, it was a bit difficult to access one of the plugs because the board wouldn't come out far enough to access the plug. The layout of the wires caused this but you can put it back in with the wires laid out better.
