We decided to head west from port douglas for the eclipse to
Mareeba and where kindly given some space at cyclones orchard who shared the fantastic experiece with us ,some pics from the event

Thanks AL it was a lovely spot to view the eclipse from,unfortunatly when totality came i removed the filters and was in awe as to what was happening and must have bumped my focus slightly so my shots were a bit out of focus ,but still got to see the whole event

The important thing, Al, is that you got to experience it. Taking the images I think is the secondary thing... if you're too busy imaging to soak it up, you may as well have been at home like I was... I can still see the images.

True that the whole experience can't translate into a picture. It's a real treat to be there.
