relative size of the mooon was bigger than I thought... proms are having a problem peeking out!

Good to see that it was clear enough for all to see. Great spectacles... love them.

Here is a longer exposure where you can see more clearly how close the sun and the moon were dancing with the clouds!

Fantastic.

What were the details of the shot, camera, lens, exposure?

Greg.

I dragged my SV90 apo up here in my carry on luggage Greg. Had a vixen porta mount in my checked in luggage. Camera is a Canon 1100D.

First pic was 1/400 ISO 100, second shot is 1/30 ISO 100.

Would have loved more pics but things happened so quick! Missed the diamond ring shot because I bumped the scope when removing the solar filter, and then it was cloud impaired for the second diamond ring, plus I was enjoying it with the naked eye by then!

And the eclipse is complete. Just snapped this one through a partial break in the clouds a few seconds ago. Moon is the slight bite at the bottom right.

What a fantastic experience!

Awesome job Andrew. Thank you for posting, I particularly like your longer corona shot and also the last one, it adds a bit of character having some light cloud over the sun with the sun spots.

Regards
Wayne
