Mothers Day

..coming up on Sunday.

Anyone going "above and beyond", getting the wife some nice toys/jewellery etc..? Building up brownie points so that a few weeks later you can quietly slip into conversation "How's your bracelet honey? I just bought a Pentax XW" ?

What do you have planned for the missus/mother?

12 long stem roses, jess, amy and I are off flower buying on saturday.

Although I am sending her to melbourne for her birthday 19th May, so brownie points should be quite high......

Can't wait for strikers answer!!!

In France mother's day is on the last Sunday of May. So if you forget miss it first time around, pretend nothing happened and say "Je t'aime maman!" in a couple of weeks. It will be new moon too, so you can go deep sky observing to celebrate.

btw. I don't think you get brownie points for buying the compulsory gifts.

I heard something on the radio that the thing most women want is a nice meal cooked for them on mothers day. Makes sense to me, roast lamb is in order. HRH will never say what she wants, so it will be a panic buying trip on Saturday to hunt something down...

The boys got the standard $5 school gift from the local school funraiser...think of it as the "aftershave or tie" equivalent for mothers...

I stepped in with a Fabulous Day Spa pass so that she can be "buffed and shined" or whatever they do to you at day spas...it is "women folk magic" I reckon but she seems to enjoy it...
