Question The Backyard Astronomer's Guide? Yes! But what edition?

I am definitely getting this book, but not sure on what edition. I can get a 2nd edition for $16 inc. shipping and the 3rd for $40. Bit of a difference.

Has anyone had both editions that can comment on differences and perceptions on whether it is worth it?

The latest edition of most books is always better, as the information is more up-to-date, well, as up-to-date that a book can be anyway. But, the downside, it costs more for the updated version.

Cheers Peter
