Hi all, as I am getting more into nightscapes now and using the Kendrick digifire 10 to keep the camera lens dry. The Kendrick unit is relatively open in its design; electrics that are open to damp dripping conditions concerns me. Do others seal their Kendrick in a plastic bag or just let it get covered in moisture?
I have thought of using a zip lock type plastic bag to keep the moisture from getting inside the unit. Would like to know what other do in this area. Thanks.
I have had my Digifire 7 out in some very wet conditions with no probs. I guess the thing is while it is in use there is enough current running through it to keep it warm enough.
Thanks for your comments everyone. I have had a email reply from Kendrick, and they say they have never had a problem with moisture getting inside. Also that they do sell pouches for the controllers.
So if there has been no problem that is good enough for me, and perhaps a cloth over the top as Leon suggested in very damp conditions.
