I am visiting Australia in about a week, and of course staying for the eclipse. I have an 8" AP refractor that I am looking to sell. It is one of only about 20 that were made, is in excellent+ condition and has not been taken from the case since being sent back to AP for Roland to clean and collimate the lens cell.
Shipping and customs costs is always a problem for such a valuable scope, but if there was an interested buyer I could hand-carry the lens cell to Australia, and shipping the tube later would be easy.
I cannot post a classified because I have not posted here before, but I am a well-known amateur in the US, with published articles in Sky and Telescope and Astronomy Technology Today.
