Flip down side mod

Flip down side

The dopey owner (me) of this DIY obs finally realised that the NNE side cut off about 40% of the light from jupiter resulting in crap images! OMG! I am regarded as slightly “slow” in some quarters! Emergency re-work started immediately and resulted in a flip down section being created. Should be able to get down to the triangulum galaxy but not much further due to building/trees etc. Woodwork is a little quick and dirty but “I got more stars” yippee.
Cheers
Stephen

edit: original construction detail here if your thinking about building something similar.

Nice work Stephen. Where there's a will, there's a way! You could call your mod the Triangulum Flap...

Seems "Where there's a wall, there's a way" would apply too
