Strange parrots?

Very unusual to see Rainbow Lorikeets in Canberra, but what the heck is that other thing on the right!!!????

No - it's an Alexandrine Parrot. We get them here in Brissy, but not sure what their usual range is...

here's a pair in the mango tree in our back yard earlier this year.

My parents have one.

He is a very, very clever cookie. He sits and mimics my parents voice, as well as the cat's meow. He'll outlive my family, too.

Good photos Adam,they look like something one sees in a pet shop,think the go by the name of 'Indian Ring necks' or similar.They look lovely-but suspect these are introduced.I could be wrong.But by going by H's post,seems likely they are escaped pets as has been suggested by Ric.We had a blue version turn up here once-the owner was lucky to get it back.
