Its a thing of beauty - and a nice looking scope too.

You won't know yourself when you start using it without lugging all the gear outside

Are you going to put a DIY observatory over the top?

i will probably get a 2.3m dome when i got the money. Now i just throw a tarp over it and keep it out if its dry or if im gunna use it that night. Its great not having to bring everything inside when your tired. The alignment for the pier turned out to be pretty spot on. I had a star in the middle of the eyepiece and i left it tracking for 10 mins. After the 10 mins were up the star was up the top of the eyepiece. I was using a 13mm eyepiece too!!!

Very nice Mark that is something I am considering for my balcony. Bintel have a pier I've been eyeing, was going custom a price thing or did you have other special needs?

had some mates that had the gear to cut and machine the pier for me at their work. I saved myself a few hundred dollars.
