Polarie ballhead 1/4 inch screws

I went to use my Polarie for the first time tonight and found my ballhead uses a larger than 1/4 inch thread.

I guess I need to get a new ballhead or an adapter screw.

Is there an adapter that can fit the larger screws holes at the base of many ballheads with 1/4 inch screws?

I guess I'll be calling photography shops tomorrow.

Greg.

Have you checked you don't have the outer thread still on.
Pictures will show it best, I did this at first too and then someone else asked the same thing so I took some shots to explain it.

If it's not that then yeah you may need to find a different thread.

I got one from Paxtons at wynard. Same issue though not with a Polarie..ask the guy at counter but they are in the rack with all the little accessories. get a spare though as they are not all that robust.

Its the other way round, the hole is too big for the 1/4 inch bolt. So that little screw in adapter is what I need.

Thanks.

Greg.

That's great, so its a standard accessory. That was what I was hoping.

Thanks for the advice, I got an adapter from a local camera store. Local camera stores are starting to disappear. I went to Penrith and most of them that were listed on the net have gone.

I guess Ebay is wiping them out.
