Solar mosaic 2 October

Took a few days to sort this one out. Lots of interesting things to to view, with some nice whispy prominences

Very, very good Paul. I see you have the new kit up and running.

Are you preferring the Lunt over the Solarmax?

cheers
Martin

Oooh yeah Martin. Getting the right scope was important but the benefits are like chalk and cheese for imaging.

Great image Paul. I like the colourisation, has a golden warmth to it.

Lovely shot Paul, very nice.
6 panels? Could you do it with less?
Just wondering, as I need to mosaic the disk, (DMK41 at 840mm focal length), and I use 4, but agree the sections don't have heaps of overlap.

Thanks guys,

Ray seeing is good most mornings at present with these highs moving over us.

Gary, the overlap is pretty critical and I am imaging at 1120mm. That means 6 panels easily. 4 will just miss out tiny pieces in the corners.
