Jupiter + GRS

I had fun with this last night, as a newbie at planetary imaging I had never seen the GRS before - except in the images of others. I also spent some time looking through the ep and saw a moon appear (IO?). Now this is not up to the standards of others recently posted so please be gentle with me....

First things first, save it as JPEG instead of BMP please

I also adjusted the colour for you. There's great detail there, you even got Red Jr!

Well done!

Here it is.

That's a good Jupiter you have there John - well done. Looks nicely focused and well exposed. I'd be very pleased with that as my first attempt, or attempts. Was that through the VC200L?

Cheers

Dennis

Yes, that was through the VC200L with the LPI and a Orion 2x barlow, later I went up to a 3x barlow but the seeing was worse and the GRS had rotated out of view....result attached...
