Been decent nights up here in QLD (smokey tonight though), and of course the mount is cactus. Tasco seemingly missed the post Thursday to get my replacement dec motor up here for the weekend (and of course the mount failed whilst I was prepping to shoot M42 on a GLORIOUS night on Wednesday, and it had risen well above the lighting here).

And of course my part will come in tomorrow.. I will collect my Vixen VC200L, and I can guarantee the night will be cloudy.

The Vixen will arrive to coincide with the full moon, you know that don't you

Sorry about your mount though, how frustrating.

Fortunately, no - I face to face collect the Vixen in about 4 hours

Now, only that dec motor.... oh, and a Vixen T ring for the scope, seeing Vixen conveniently only uses Vixen OEM...

And the circus continues... Tasco accidentally sent an EQ5 motor for my HEQ5 mount - and they are TOTALLY different.

Just as well the weather has turned to mud here on the "Sunshine" Coast. First light for the Vixen will have to wait.

BUT, I went and bought myself an NEQ6 from Sirius... the last they had in stock.
