TMB Lens 65mm Backpacker

I have a 65mm FPL53 doublet Backpacker designed by TMB.

It was a project that never saw the market and the scope would be great as an autoguiding scope (its very light) or as a lens for a camera or visual. Lens may need to be collimated for serious visual. This one though seems reasonably collimated. Focuser is Crawford style and is 2 inch with a 1.25 eyepeice holder.

It has a mounting plate on the bottom of it. There are a few marks, a scratch on focuser paint and a few marks on the dewshield.

Its main advantage is its quite light and would make a handy autoguiding scope as it would pick up a lot of guide stars.

I have attached a sample photo taken with my D800E which is hard on optics as a 36mp full frame camera. I was looking for chromatic aberration. I don't see any. Image has been sharpened and slight changes to contrast but no chromatic aberration processing.

Price drop

$195 including postage within Australia.

Greg.
