19th September Ha Sol

Solar activity seems to be a little unremarkable at present.... today's installment had average seeing.

No fish on that one. Still a terrific shot.

Mosaic Pete? Or does the disk fit on the sensor with a 2x? Good detail for the 0.7A, chomping at the bit to do something very similar very soon. New scope coming in next week. New camera here. Nice data all the same Pete. You know my thoughts on the inverted stuff.

A four frame mosaic...with a good deal of overlap...native FL will do it in two.

I've found 0.7A is less demanding than 0.5A, which I suspect needs better seeing to really pay dividends.

Yep..know your thoughts...but I'm warming to the "cirrus-cloud" filament look

Yeah that is what I thought. Using the 2.8 and 2x barlow with the Lunt will require 4 panel mosaic too. I have just ordered a 1.5x from Siebert. Not a big cost but worth a punt. That will put me squarely onto sensor with no mosaic needed.
