Yes I have the Nexguide. Nice little unit.
It has quite a small sensor so you need to ensure your target star is well centred before inserting the camera.
The exposure limit is 4096mS (~4sec) and sensitivity is average.
I would recommend using this with the Orion X-Y finder so you can shift the guider to pick up a star.
Calibrates itself quite easily and accurately and I've had very good success with it. You can adjust aggressiveness in both DEC and RA once guiding. Provided there is no intermittent cloud, it will guide until the mount hits a limit and accurately. The only times I get the "lost star" message is due to cloud or dew or the mount arrives at a limit.
The LCD screen is small and getting the guide star in the field of view is the main challenge but once there, it works fine. It does have a digital "zoom" and you can "zoom" in to a locked star and adjust focus accordingly by judging the size of the "blob" on the LCD (ie the blob gets smaller as you come into focus and it also reports brightness as a number so this number goes up as you come into focus and down again as you past focus). No need for a separate computer and happily runs off 12VDC.
I use mine with a Meade 80mm refractor (FL 480mm).
