Wow things seemed to have got busier for me, Ive not been able to spend much time around the forum as i would like, but ive been dipping in and out when i can....I have to say there has been some stunning images posted .
Anyway I finished my night shift early last night, and it was clear, so i set up the kit to image M33 in Triangulum, exposure times were 60mins in Luminance 60mins in Red, 54mins in Blue and 28mins in Green.
any comments welcome good or bad
Thanks for looking
Peter
Very nice, Peter! I assume with the AG12? What camera are you using?
yep the AG12 i use an older type h35 from starlight xpress, it doesnt have set point cooling, so i cant get darks to match and its prone to frosting, but the big chip allows a good size fov, although i have cropped in to this one a fraction.
Hey this is pretty good Peter, nicely balanced and realistic brightness range, great job after a hard night shift
I can see M33 reasonably well above my unobstructed Northern horizon from my new place actually. It's up in the wee hours at the moment (only well placed for a couple of hours each night though). I set up the pedestal on Besser blocks concreted into the ground and mounted the NJP on the weekend, scope will likely go on next weekend and polar align... so may even have a shot at it soon...? There's a bit of a list waiting for me though
Im not going to feel sorry for you mike you are spoiled for choice.....i also have a long list, but mine is long only because i might get one good night a month
I was thinking that's incredible for the southern hemisphere but then I see you are in the UK. In any case it's a beautiful M33! I really like this galaxy a lot and wish it was a bit higher from my latitude.

We still struggle with resolution in the UK, the weather is so changable the atmosphere rarely settles down, and getting enough time on an object before its gone for the next season is probably the biggest challenge UK imagers face...... we are also a nation that complains a lot...mainly about the weather!
