Reprocessed Jup May 21st

After the encouragement and queries of the other day I put the image I posted through more processing.
Pushing the saturation settings in Irfanview virtually to the limit, saving, then doing it again and with much fiddling with RGB channels I came up with this pic.

I donno, I kinda like the blue shade, to me it enhances the rest of the detail.
It's like using a blue filter at the eyepiece.

I like the second one better Jeanette. You are definately improving with each image.

JFYI Looks like you might need to up the gain or gamma a bit next time though, so you don't get as much limb darkening. What do you use to crop your images with. Is it done automatically by a program or do you do it manually. If manual try leaving a bit more sky around the image. That will help present it better an you might find that part of the darkening is an optical effect on having the planet so close to the white webpage background.
