Antares closeup
Antares closeup, JPEG straight out of the camera, forgot to change it to RAW while doing an ST-4 calibrating run.
60 seconds, ISO 800, prime focus Takahashi FS-102. Nothing done to the picture.

I love it John.
How did you get the star spikes?
Did you string something across the TAK?

Thanks for the comments and replies, Guys. Considering it was a mucked up photo, I rather like the effect.
Tony, known about the fishing line for awhile now, but I still stole the idea from you. LOL

That gets my vote for "Best Bungle", John! Love the rainbows in the diffractions spikes - very pretty!

I normally don't like spikes, too chocolate boxy, but this shot is superb, nice result, Antares seems to draw you in and to me it's more representative of the sky I see than the majority of astro images.
