some people just dont get mobile phones!

Standing the taxi queue at Syd airport, person nearby talking on phone, obviously call drops out, person standing there ,"hello, hello", takes phone away from ear, starts shaking it wildly, puts phone back to ear " hello, hello", repeats this again. Then puts phone away.

What does shaking an iPhone do to make calls better?

It has a 3 axis accelerometer (bma150 or equivalent) built in that successively increases receiver sensitivity on sensing a shake to intuitively attempt to recover a lost signal. I know this because apple is in the forefront of innovation , and that would be an obvious feature

Don't be too quick to judge.

With the compass feature if the iphone receives interference it displays the message, wave in a figure 8 pattern.

I have had it sometimes and it works. LOL

Cheers

Is it like those torches that you shake to charge the battery up?
