Saturn Nebula revisited

A couple of weeks ago I posted an image of the Saturn nebula (NGC 7009) which was pretty much rubbish because of the conditions and I had to do a lot of processing to get just a barely acceptable image. Last night conditions were much better so did it again. I think this version is much better.

Cheers

Steve

Beautiful close up image Steve! It must be very bright, there even seems to be diffraction spikes coming from the nebula

Wow. That certainly seems to have better clarity/contrast than the previous version as I recall. Good stuff!

Thanks. The other one was rubbish as I previously said.

Thanks Marcus. Still a good time to buy telescopes with the dollar the way it is.

Thanks Rolf. Yes, this thing is really too bright for a sensitive CCD like the 6303. I probably should have done it in narrowband.
