Jupiter 23/2/2005

Hi guys, here's Jupiter from this morning (Wednesday 23/2). There was lots of cloud around, and conditions weren't great.

This is a stack of about 800 frames in each of red, green, blue taken with my trusty 10" f/6 newt and 4x TV powermate. Camera is a firewire mono camera @ 25fps.

Sky looks clear tonight, I'm going for the GRS which transits at 3.30am tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed for good seeing and no %$#@ cloud!

Just georgeous Anthony, i'm getting up tomorrow morning for it too!

Io and shadow will be on the surface too, should be a good morning if the clouds stay away.
