different view of M20 and M21

Been doing some tinkering/experimenting with binning RGB subs in PixInsight and M20 was in the right area. Near full moon and shot from home. Thought I'd add some interest by blending in some Ha. Don't recall seeing a similar view with all the Ha in the background here. Wasn't sure whether to post this, but thought it might be of interest to someone.

Any critique appreciated. I'm not sure of the colour balance.

Nice tight stars Troy. There sure is a lot going on in that region.

How did you blend the Ha?

Thanks mate. Used the HaRGBCombination PI script. Think I've got the usage of it working now. I use the stretched (non-linear) LRGB and stretched Ha images. Originally was trying to use linear (unstretched) images, but got weird/inconsistent results.

Nice going Troy. Are you heading up to Astrofest? Be good to compare PI notes sometime?

Looks pretty good, Troy! Getting a good colour balance with HaRGB seems really difficult. I've spent several days playing with my M8/M20 region image trying lots of different variations and colour calibration techniques. I'm still not really happy with any of them...

A very nice photo Troy.

I like your colours and the background detail looks good.

Ross.

Thanks guys.

@Rob - yes, I'm heading up Wed/Thurs/Fri nights. Soooo looking forward to it

@Rick - tell me about it. I think that's the thing I'm struggling most with now.

@Ross - thanks mate. Sounds like I'm somewhere near being on the right track. Maybe a parallel track...

Taking during the full moon??
A very pretty image Troy, You got an extremely pleasant color balance and it seems you tamed Pixinsight's power pretty well on this one
