New Start
Hi All,
having just joined the group and hoping I am in the right area for my first entry, here is a little about me,
living in country Vic and enjoying dark skies, with the viewing good, if no clouds,
my scopes are a Skywatcher 12in Black Diamond collapsable Dob,
Meade 2120LX5, 10in with acc's,
skywatcher 102mm refractor with micro focuser, this scope is for travel till something better is purchased,
I am hoping too learn, with a bit of trading also
a short intro,
thank you,
Peter.

welcome to the crowd, Peter
you have a big collection, already.
Says I - who only began the journey 2 months ago.
when did you begin with astronomy?
my 2nd hand 8" EQ5 setup doesn't work so well which makes my learning curve steep
and the IIS folks here are so helpful and friendly - it's fun asking for advice!
enjoy the ride.

Hi Pete!
Looks like a nice bunch of scopes for every occasion.
Hope your skies are clearer than mine!
Pete.

hi Peter / Matt / Gary / Laurie / Silv,
thank you for your kind words,
and I look forward to entering & contributing to the IIS group,
my SILaw has helped me in my selection as he has been a keen amateur astronomer for many years, which does help as I have been able to purchase the equipment needed, and still gathering equipment.
as I am still finding my feet in the different areas, I am sure I shall enjoy,
Matt, your lookup - lookgood, photography does interest me, as I have just purchased a Canon1000D to experiment with,
Silv, starting playing with scopes approx 2yrs ago, started with a Meade 2090 90mm Mak, still got, not for much longer though, a good first entry scope, as before, with a little bit of help have gathered these scopes.
thank you again,
Peter.

Welcome Peter
As others have said, great collection of scopes already!! Wonderful.
Hiopefully there is a local club in your area that you can head to for a night under the stars with others. Great way to learn ... in the field. Enjoy.
