My first attempt at finding and shooting something small and faint. Also my first long integrated exposure (by long I mean over 30min)
NGC6302 - Bug Nebula. These looks pretty cool. Anyone know of other decent planetary nebulae which are as easily visible as this one?
Total exposure time 55min
1min 27sec subs
Scope: Celestron C8 mounted on NEQ6Pro
Camera: Nikon D800 (cropped section)
Guiding: Orion Starshoot through 50mm finderguider (guiding was drifting slightly but not enough to cause problems with the 1:27 subs
Jorge that's a good looking target, but unfortunately I have poor views SE so currently NGC2438 would afford me less than 20min worth of exposure if I'm lucky before it disappears behind the trees. May have to wait for summer for this one.
