Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle from 500 metres

For some time I've been wanting to photograph some eagles I see around my area occasionally. There was one flying not too far from my house.

He was about 1/2 a kilometre away when I took this shot.

TEC110Fluorite triplet, Canon 40D.

manual exposure. 1/1000sec ISO200.

Such a beautiful and graceful bird.

Greg.
