Hi folks
this was actually an experiment; one that can only really be done (I think) under great seeing. I wanted to see how the 5nm Ha and 3nm OIII filters would perform in the U16M and CDK under full moon conditions.
So, most of the integrations that make up this image are 1 hour in duration (as I said, you need really good seeing to do this) taken under full or near full moon. Obviously, target selection is important here as the same results would not be achieved if the target was in close proximity to a full moon.
Total exposure time is 16 hours (8.5 Ha and 7.5 OIII)

What impresses me the most was that raw FWHM on the 1 hour integrations averaged 1.8 asp.
thanks for looking
