Dumbbell

Here's an Arizona shot of the Dumbbell nebula (M27) that I put together in the last few days. It is of course doable from this latitude but pretty low down for me.

Cheers

Steve

I'm very envious of your northern hemisphere connections, Steve

I think I've been very lucky. Dean is very generous with telescope time. I have access every other night. The Arizona monsoon is approaching though which generally means clouds until September.

Thanks mate. I like it too but I've never managed a decent image of it from down here.

We can get a fairly good view of this object from Southern QLD,from July through to August and September, its a real 'astrofest' object.Looking at gathering lots of data on this one this year.

I imagine from Canberra, your view would be minimal, great you could use some NH resources to gather the data-quite amazing how all that can be done.
