Eta Carina with full 35mm sensor

Hi all
Today I recieved Bert's 5DH he has kindly sent along to me to use for astro imaging.
Hours later it was on the scope for tonights imaging session on Eta Carina Neb
Full size version here

Just quickly processed with Iris as soon as I packed up, I could tweak it more I think.
It fits in a fair bit more then my 350D with the 10 inch scope
9x10 mins with MPCc coma corrector and lps filter.
High cloud about and not perfect seeing.
Im keen to try it on the Lagoon Neb and see how much more I can fit in.
Scott

That is an impressive image for a first use of a 'new' camera Scott. That ten inch mirror of yours will really make good use of the higher signal to noise ratio of the 5DH's sensor and it's larger field.

Looks like you have hit the ground running. There is very faint stuff plainly visible. I am sure you will get even better results once you get used to the 5DH. What you have achieved with the modded 350D was already amazing.

My selfish motives are simple. I get a lot of pleasure knowing that the 5DH is still producing very good images that I can look at without lifting a finger and when my site is overcast with cloud. It would be a waste to put the 5DH in a dark cupboard to only gather dust rather than photons.

Again very nice Scott considering the conditions. I am looking forward to more images from your very capable hands.

Bert

Thanks all, and special thanks, Bert, i will see that the 5DH gathers photons from space in great quantity :-) It will be out under the night sky at every opportunity.
