Trifid 17x13sec, M4 10x13sec, 12" Dob, EOS 600D

One of the few times I point the Canon EOS 600D at prime focus of the 12" SkyWatcher Goto Dobsonian at deep sky objects here in suburban Brisbane

The M20 image is made up of 17x13 second exposures, ISO 6400. Stacked in Registax 5 and then masking applied in StarTools to isolate the nebula then layer it back in as a smoother image.

The M4 image was 10x13sec exposures at ISO 6400. Whilst it doesn't show alot of stars, the colours have come out nicely, I think.

The exposures were so short to avoid tracking errors and minimise field rotation, given the stacking method used.

One of the original frames is provided for comparison.

Thanks for having a look

Tom
