Saturn June7 - equatorial feature?

Hi
Finally got around to processing this data. Seeing was very variable, but one LRGB was OK. While processing, it seemed that there was brightening and structure on the equator. Put together a 2 frame animation using the only good luminance images (heavily processed). It's a bit crude but the spot region (about the same longitude as the obvious dark spot on the edge of the green band), seems to move in a way that is consistent with other visible features. Not seen any detail in the region before. And yep, my polar alignment was a bit out. Thanks for looking. Regards Ray

Ray, Excellent images the division is well pronounced and the colours are very nice, I think correct me if I am wrong but I can see both the Colombo and Maxwell Gaps. Love the animation you can clearly see the feature on both of the frames.

Regards
Carl

thanks Carl. the feature also showed up a week later, but it is pretty faint, so needs good seeing to catch it.

regards Ray
