Calibrated 12 x 4min subs @ ISO800, processed with PixInsight

That's a sweet widefield DSLR image.

50mm lenses are a sweet spot for widefield DSLR astro imaging.

very nice. I like how the main stars pop out - often with widefields they are lost in the background - especially that part of the milky way

Thanks everyone, very encouraging. I've really been enjoying these sort of wide field shots.

cventer - captured from my place in the outskirts of "suburban" Griffith (population ~25000) in the Riverina. Skies are quite dark here relative to a metro area, and my backyard is protected (mostly) from street lights as well.
